Microsoft adds new security features to Windows 11, including new privacy settings
Microsoft has introduced new security features for Windows 11 to make it safer for users. These features include updated privacy settings and a new feature called "glanceable VPN", upholding the value of hide VPN. The updated privacy settings give users more control over their personal information. With these settings, you can see and manage what information is being shared and have the final say in how it is used.
The "glanceable VPN" feature is designed to help you stay focused and securely connected. When you see a small shield icon on the taskbar, it means you have a trusted VPN connection. This gives you peace of mind with just a quick look. Though that’s for PC, Expert VPN is available for Android, PC and iPhone and likewise offers the same service and more, like the glanceable VPN.
You can also personalise the VPN feature to suit your preferences. You have the flexibility to adjust it through Quick Settings, so it works exactly the way you want it to.
In addition, Microsoft wants to ensure that Windows 11 PCs are highly secure. They have integrated an advanced security processor called Pluton, which offers unmatched protection from the chip level to the cloud. This means better defence against malware, hardware attacks, and credential breaches.
To keep users informed and protected, Microsoft has introduced a feature called "account badging". Starting in June, you will receive real-time alerts on your Start menu, which will prompt you to take immediate action to protect your information and PC. This helps you stay one step ahead in safeguarding your important files. Microsoft wants to mitigate the chances of threat actors attacking Windows 11 just as they did with programmed new malware attacking Windows 10 WordPad.
Overall, these new security features in Windows 11 are aimed at providing better control, privacy, and protection for users.
