Binance trains Ukraine’s Cyberpolice and Security Service

Binance, the world's largest digital asset exchange, has embarked on a training and education mission to several countries around the world, including Ukraine. The training will be delivered online to employees of Ukraine Cyberpolice, the cybercrime unit of the National Police of Ukraine (NPU), the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA).

According to crypto news outlet forklog, the training will focus on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies, while giving them more insight into Binance's anti-money laundering policies, detection and prevention methods.

Kyril Khomyakov, Binance's General Manager for Ukraine and Central Europe, welcomes the development as it will help Ukraine combat financial crime, which poses a threat to the security and stability of the country's financial sector.

In particular, the Eastern European nation has been at the forefront of incorporating crypto trading into its system and, through ARMA, has shared information on wallet ownership with major crypto trading platforms as part of criminal proceedings.

Ukrainian law enforcement has been on the lookout for crypto-related fraud, and in November uncovered a fraud scheme that was generating two hundred million euros a year for perpetrators who operated by soliciting investors through European call centres. Ukrainian law enforcement's collaboration with Binance will strengthen their alliance and knowledge, as the group began accepting crypto donations in March after supporting the legalisation of cryptocurrencies in the country.
